United by a shared purpose — supporting and including people affected by disability worldwide
Disability Global was born from a group of people who have long been passionate about the disability community — people with a deep desire to see this often-overlooked population supported, included, and valued. What began as individual efforts eventually converged into a shared mission: to gather leaders who share a commitment to those affected by disability and to the families and communities around them.
Together, these leaders recognized an urgent need. Around the world, people affected by disability — and the families and communities who walk alongside them — are among the most underserved and least supported. They also recognized that there are dedicated organizations and experienced leaders already doing this work, often in isolation. The question became clear: what if we could unite these efforts, steward these resources, and equip even more people to engage?
That question became Disability Global.
To steward the experiences and resources of established organizations and leaders — equipping those who want to reach and serve people with disabilities more effectively. We believe that decades of dedicated service carry wisdom worth sharing, and that strategic collaboration multiplies impact.
To provide encouragement to those already serving this population and to keep the mission in view — that people affected by disability would be seen, supported, and included, and that the communities closest to them would lead the way. This work is not done in a day, and those who labor in it deserve to know they are not alone.
